historic river retreat lodge
Our historic Retreat Lodge is settled among towering pines and bur oak trees, overlooking the upper Meramec River. A rustic mossy staircase cascades down the hill to lush fields which leads to the river. This cozy lodge is perfect for getaways, groups or wedding parties.
The Retreat Lodge has three wings, the center, north and south. In total the lodge has six bedrooms that can sleep 14 to 15 people, including a day bed in the gathering/meeting space. Each bedroom in the Retreat Lodge contains an electric fireplace, ceiling fan, and optional linen service. The floor-plan below shows how the lodge is laid out.
SOUTH WING
The south wing of the Retreat Lodge is ADA accessible and is sectioned off from the rest of the lodge. There are two bedrooms that sleep up to five people. The first bedroom has 2 twin beds with an electric fireplace and ceiling fans. A sunroom and full ADA accessible full bathroom meets between the two rooms. The second room has 3 twin beds and a half bath.
CENTER
The center wing of the lodge is a cozy gathering space with a wood burning fireplace and a small TV that has a DVD/VHS player. The gathering space joins with a meeting area that also includes a day bed which has a view of the river. To the left is the kitchenette with a microwave, large fridge, coffee maker and sink. To the right, a set of steps leading to the C1 bedroom that can sleep 1-2 and full bathroom. The bedroom has a full bed, an electric fire place, desk and closet. The bathroom is right next to the bathroom that has original marble tile!
